Nestled against the dramatic backdrop of Tucson, Arizona’s beautiful Santa Catalina foothills are two incredible golf courses in Ventana Canyon, the Ventana Canyon Mountain, and Canyon Courses. Both courses were designed by Tom Fazio and have won Golf Magazine’s Gold Medal Award and Links Magazine’s Best of Golf Award. You will be able to play the Mountain course on even days. A picture-perfect par three.
At the highest point on the golf course sits Ventana Canyon’s signature third hole. One of the most photographed golf holes west of the Mississippi, this short par three is tucked into the rugged rocks of the Santa Catalina mountains and across a canyon of cacti. The tee offers a breathtaking panorama that stretches across the Sonoran Desert into Mexico. Be sure to snap some photos – you’ll want this memory forever.
The Lodge
Tucked away into the Catalina foothills, and just steps away from the emerald tees, fairways and greens sits The Lodge, a quiet sanctuary with 50 private, spacious suites.

Across the 600-acre desert preserve, you’ll find two 18-hole championship courses – tee boxes surrounded by mountain views, fairways with regional flora and fauna and putting greens that glimmer against the dunes behind them.

We stayed here and I played golf 16-19th August of 2020. It was a great time. The course is impressive, I loved the signature holes. Views from our room were great on a corner.

Fantastic courses not to be missed ! Mountain was my favorite with breathtaking views from backtees. Greens are perfect and uniform. Hard to figure out because of mountain range. Canyon also a great track. More traditional and manicured as well as Mountain. Friendly staff

Staff was friendly, laid back, and knowledgeable. The course was beautiful and in great shape- immaculate considering it's summer. Probably my favorite course among PHX and Tucson
